I was able to do 27 twice, but had to get to some really intense points, haha.
Would be cool to have this target practice take more time and have different kinds of targets, more challenges and guns.
Good job on the controls, they're pretty smooth. You could easily make a small retro shooter with this as a template. Waiting for updates!
Dang! Nice job and thanks for the kind words.
I'm planning on building this out to be a multiplayer shooter eventually, but I'm going to use the firing range to try out new ideas and weapons.
I'll try to add some new challenges soon to add some variety. Thanks for playing!
If you're new to game development, I recommend reducing the size of the project way down for now, and start with releasing at least a few smaller projects first, haha. Releasing small horror games here can be one of the best ways to gather more followers and build a fan base for your future projects. This would make the marketing part so much easier later on! :)
I would do small horror games for itch.io too, but have very little free time left and no more creative energy after the time spent on the updates of my assets, so it's kinda sad.
Take care! :)
I really appreciate the advice! I've been doing game development for a little over a year now, but this is my first time actually releasing something on itch.io.
I've been a software engineer for a few years, so I'm pretty confident in my programming abilities (this prototype took me about 4 days to make). I've just always struggled with the art side of things, but using assets has allowed me to do what I do best!
I've never tried making any horror games, but I've heard from a lot of people it's an extremely popular genre on here, so maybe I should give it a try!
If you like, before releasing your games here, you can send me them to try out, and so I could take some screenshots and make the visuals for their project pages! :)
That would be incredible! I'll definitely let you know.
This is the highest I've been able to score. Let me know if you do better!
